Job summary

Confit Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Barista / Front Desk team member in Petaling Jaya. You will craft quality coffee, operate bar equipment, welcome guests, and manage front desk duties independently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The role requires independent work, strong customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required, with opportunities to grow in barista and restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to make good-quality espresso-based coffee.
• Good understanding of coffee preparation and barista techniques.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Responsible, reliable and customer-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Local Malaysian candidates preferred.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred, especially those comfortable communicating with Chinese-speaking customers.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays according to the roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve good-quality coffee and beverages consistently.
• Operate the coffee machine, grinder and other bar equipment properly.
• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Handle the front desk independently, including taking orders, cashier duties and coordinating customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and front-of-house area.
• Ensure smooth daily operation during both busy and quiet periods.
• Assist with other restaurant duties when required.
