Job summary

Maybank PROTÉGÉ RTW Programme – Community Financial Services is a structured 12-month workplace learning initiative designed to give fresh graduates hands-on exposure to retail banking. Trainees will work within Maybank branches, learning from Consumer Bankers and Personal Bankers, and gaining practical skills in customer engagement, relationship management and advisory principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any discipline.
• Fresh graduate status or less than two years of working experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and passion for building relationships.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn branch banking operations and customer engagement activities.
• Support day-to-day customer engagement and relationship management.
• Gain exposure to how banking professionals understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Learn about banking products, services, customer journeys and service excellence practices.
• Assist in customer servicing, follow-up activities and sales support processes.
• Develop understanding of branch operations, financial products and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in coaching, mentoring and workplace learning initiatives.
