Job summary

OCBC Bank Malaysia is seeking a Business Compliance Officer in Kuala Lumpur to ensure operations meet regulatory requirements and uphold integrity. You will collaborate with stakeholders, identify compliance risks, and implement controls to mitigate them.

The role requires up-to-date regulatory knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. You will support RM sign-offs, KYC checks, and daily banking operations while contributing to customer

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in any field.
• Banking knowledge and experience in operations, processes, and regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of banking experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in compliance requirements such as BB Risk Calculators, Enhanced Due Diligence/ Ongoing Due Diligence (EDD/ODD), AML / Sanction checks for Relationship Managers to review and sign-off.
• Obtain information from customers for compliance assessments for RM sign-off / submissions.
• Support Business Units on KYC, OFAC, appropriateness, and other internal and external requirements.
• Monitor and track regulatory compliance and breaches; handle inquiries related to loans, deposits and other operations.
