Job summary

myNEWS Holding Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager to develop and execute strategies for our Bakery, Desserts & RTE portfolio using the full PDCA cycle to hit revenue and gross profit targets. You will drive innovation, develop products like Sweet Buns, Savoury Buns, Family Packs, and ISF products, manage ambient and chilled desserts, and oversee 6Ps including placement and display planning.

Requires at least 5 years in bakery within retail, CVS, FMCG, or food service; strong English,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in bakery within retail, CVS, FMCG or food service.
• Knowledge of Food Science & Technology, Halal, and Food Safety.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for the Bakery, Desserts & RTE portfolio using the full PDCA cycle.
• Drive profitable and sustainable innovation strategies for Bakery, Desserts & RTE.
• Develop new bakery products such as Sweet Buns, Savoury Buns, Family Packs and ISF products.
• Develop ambient and chilled dessert products.
• Manage 6Ps: Product, Promotion, Place, Price, People (Handling, Storage & Display Planogram), Positioning.
• Monitor trends and competition to identify opportunities and improve strategies.
• Contribute to annual budget preparation and monitor sales against targets.
