Job summary

Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd in Selangor is seeking a hardworking bakery assistant to produce a range of breads, cakes, pastries and desserts.

You will mix, ferment, shape and bake according to recipes, maintain ingredient quality, check expiry dates, and ensure display cases are well stocked and appealing.

The role requires SPM or equivalent, 1 year in a similar field, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and OT; Mandarin is a plus, Malay and English as well.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required.
• Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.
• In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.
• Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.
• Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
