Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking a Backend Software Engineer – Telecom Protocols to design, develop and maintain backend services for telecom platforms in a hybrid Kuala Lumpur setup. You will implement decoders for LTE/5G protocols and handle NAS/RRC/RLC/MAC/PHY parsing, while coordinating across Sweden, India, and Malaysia.

The role requires 4–5 years of C# and C/C++ experience, strong SQL Server knowledge, and the ability to interpret chipset ICDs from major vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of software development experience in C# and C/C++.
• Strong understanding of LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA telecom protocols.
• Experience interpreting chipset ICD specifications from Qualcomm, Samsung, and MediaTek.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Understanding of NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, and PHY protocol stacks.
• Ability to interpret complex chipset ICD documentation.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams (Sweden, India, Malaysia).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain telecom protocol decoders for LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA message parsing.
• Implement chipset ICD updates for leading vendors.
• Decode throughput metrics and parsing for NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, and PHY layers.
• Design and implement assignment orchestration systems; support network troubleshooting and benchmarking.
• Optimize database and application performance using SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and participate in architecture reviews and Agile sprints.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and release notes.
