Job summary

Oxydata Software in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer - Telecom Protocols to develop and maintain telecom protocol decoders for LTE, 5G NR, GSM and WCDMA.

You will work with distributed teams across Sweden, India, and Malaysia in an Agile environment, implement ICD updates, optimize performance with SQL Server, and contribute to release notes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of strong software development experience in C# and C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, GSM and WCDMA telecom protocols.
• Experience interpreting chipset ICD specifications (Qualcomm, Samsung, MediaTek).
• Proficiency with SQL Server and T‑SQL; familiarity with NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, PHY.
• Ability to read ICD documents and collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain telecom protocol decoders for LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and WCDMA.
• Implement ICD updates for leading vendors and decode protocol layers.
• Analyze consumption metrics and support network troubleshooting and benchmarking.
• Optimize backend performance with SQL Server and T‑SQL.
• Produce release notes, changelogs and user documentation.
• Collaborate with distributed teams in Sweden, India and Malaysia in Agile sprints.
