Qashier Pte Ltd is seeking a Backend Engineer in Malaysia to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering our POS and payments platform. You will develop robust APIs for real-time transactions and contribute to system architecture with product managers and engineers.

This role requires 5+ years of backend experience and proficiency in Node.js, Go, or Python, plus strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

About The Job Backend Engineer

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services that power our POS and payments platform
• Develop scalable APIs and systems that handle high-volume, real-time transactions
• Contribute to system architecture and make decisions on technologies and design patterns
• Write clean, maintainable code with strong testing practices (unit, integration, performance)
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features end‑to‑end

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Go, or Python)
