Job summary

Airbus Helicopters Malaysia SDN. BHD. seeks a professional Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAE) to inspect, maintain and repair aircraft to meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with technicians. You must hold a CAAM Part 66 B1.3 license with at least one Airbus Helicopters type rating and have five years' experience with Airbus products.

Qualifications

• Must hold CAAM Part 66 B1.3 license with at least one Airbus Helicopters type rating.
• Experience with Airbus Helicopters products preferred (Airbus values and leadership).
• Knowledge of EASA/FAA/CAAM regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks as assigned at base or on-site.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate technicians and mechanics as required.
• Document maintenance activities for regulatory records.

Scope of Position

Inspecting, maintain and repairing aircraft to ensure they meet regulatory standards for safety and performance. Responsibilities may include diagnosing mechanical, conducting routine maintenance check, performing repairs or replacements of components, and adhering to maintenance schedules outlined by aviation authorities. Additionally LAE may supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and mechanics, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and document all maintenance activities for record-keeping and regulatory purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out all aircraft maintenance tasks as assigned in base and out of base,
• To perform assigned task within specific time frame and maintaining high quality standard.
• To ensure a conducive working environment by practicing good housekeeping and proper usage of tools, equipment and facilities.
• Responsible for compliance of safety requirement in relation to the task performed
• To practice and instill a good work attitude and leadership qualities at all time
• To take self-initiate to acquire relevant knowledge to enrich and help improve work performance.
• To ensure a conducive working environment by practicing good housekeeping and proper usage of tools, equipment and facilities.
• Cost effective in managing consumables used during maintenance activities including spare wastage control.
• To ensure tasks are evenly distributed to team members and to install team spirit at all times.
• Be responsible for personnel performance, training, compliance and maintenance staff evaluations
• Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be the exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code Of Conduct.
• Carry out any other task as directed by the superior related to AHM and MRO activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold CAAM B1.3 license with minimum of one (1) Airbus Helicopters type rated endorsed in the license. Additional type will be an added advantage. Experience with at least 5 years on Airbus Helicopters Product.
• Must have Part 66 Category B1.3 license and preferably with CAA Malaysia ratings
• Eligible and available to travel for away from the base,
• Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS)
• Good knowledge of EASA/FAA and CAAM Regulations.
• Rated with EC225 or/and H160 or/and AS365 is an advantage
