Job summary

LAVU TECH SOLUTIONS SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an experienced AWS/OCI Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI environments.

You will drive automation, governance, and architectural alignment with Security, App‑Dev, and Architecture teams. You will implement governance frameworks, optimize costs, and troubleshoot incidents while applying best practices for security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS and OCI cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting in Python for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud governance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize core services across AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and OCI (Compute, Block Storage, Autonomous Database, Functions)
• Automate provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and OCI Resource Manager to ensure consistency across environments
• Implement robust pipelines using the AWS CodeStar stack, BitBucket, Bamboo, and OCI DevOps service
• Drive cost efficiency and performance tuning through resource right sizing and scalability strategies
• Partner with Security and App‑Dev teams to design resilient, well architected cloud solutions
• Provide expert guidance on cloud best practices and document architectures, standard operating procedures, and incident root causes
• Implement governance frameworks like AWS Control Tower and OCI Landing Zones to maintain high security standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure incidents

Job description

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and OCI environments. This role requires strong hands‑on engineering capability, deep multi‑cloud expertise, and the ability to drive automation, governance, and architectural alignment across teams. The engineer will collaborate closely with Security, App‑Dev, and Architecture teams to deliver well‑architected cloud solutions that meet business and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and optimize core services across AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and OCI (Compute, Block Storage, Autonomous Database, Functions)

Automate provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and OCI Resource Manager to ensure consistency across environments

Implement robust pipelines using the AWS CodeStar stack, BitBucket, Bamboo, and OCI DevOps service

About you

Hands‑on experience with AWS Direct Connect and OCI FastConnect, including cross‑cloud peering and VPN configurations

Proficiency in Control Tower Landing Zone, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, NACLs, Security Groups, and AWS Network Firewall

Expertise in OCI Landing Zone, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRG), Service Gateways, and OCI Network Firewall

Deep understanding of IPv4, BGP, and Next‑Gen Firewalls

Expert level in Terraform and CloudFormation

Strong proficiency in Python for cloud automation and scripting

Practical experience with CodePipeline, Bamboo, and Terraform Enterprise/Cloud

Deep knowledge of IAM (Roles/Policies), CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Service Control Policies (SCPs)

Proficiency in managing Identity Domains, IAM Policies, OCI Logging, and Cloud Guard

Experience managing public and private zones via Route53 and OCI DNS
