Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, implement and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments for a financial services organization. Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise cloud architecture across AWS, Azure or GCP environments
• Design scalable, highly available and secure cloud infrastructure solutions
• Assess existing IT infrastructure and applications and recommend appropriate cloud architecture and migration approaches
• Develop cloud architecture standards, patterns and best practices
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, security and engineering teams to ensure successful cloud implementation
• Design cloud solutions covering compute, storage, networking, databases and other relevant cloud services
• Ensure cloud environments meet enterprise security, availability, scalability and performance requirements
• Support cloud migration, modernization and infrastructure transformation initiatives
• Identify potential technical risks and recommend appropriate architecture and mitigation strategies
• Review existing cloud environments and identify opportunities for optimization, reliability and scalability

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, implement and manage scalable, secure and highly available cloud environments for a financial services organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, system architecture or software engineering, together with hands‑on experience designing and managing enterprise cloud environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, application and business teams to ensure cloud solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, security, performance and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise cloud architecture across AWS, Azure or GCP environments
• Design scalable, highly available and secure cloud infrastructure solutions
• Assess existing IT infrastructure and applications and recommend appropriate cloud architecture and migration approaches

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT Infrastructure, System Architecture or Software Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of experience designing and managing enterprise cloud environments
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience in enterprise infrastructure or architecture environments is highly preferred
• Experience within the Financial Services / Banking / FSI industry is an advantage
• Practical knowledge in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Networking, Compute & Storage, Identity & Access Management, Virtualization, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, High Availability & Disaster Recovery, Cloud Migration & Modernization, Infrastructure Monitoring, Cloud Cost Optimization, and Enterprise Architecture
• Cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect is an advantage
• Experience with infrastructure automation or Infrastructure as Code is an advantage
• Experience working with enterprise security and governance requirements is an advantage
