Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Senior Private Banking Relationship Manager to proactively grow the client base and deepen strategic partnerships with high-net-worth clients in Malaysia.

You will manage portfolios, tailor wealth solutions, and collaborate with product specialists to deliver integrated advisory services while ensuring regulatory compliance and achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relationship management experience in financial services.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients preferred.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and portfolio growth.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and wealth management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Job Description

• Proactively identify and acquire new clients, expanding the bank's client base.


• Manage and cultivate existing client relationships, understanding their financial needs and objectives.


• Develop and implement tailored financial strategies and solutions, including investment products, loans, and other banking services.


• Monitor client portfolios, conduct regular reviews, and provide timely advice on market trends and investment opportunities.


• Collaborate with internal specialists (e.g., product specialists, wealth planners) to deliver integrated financial solutions.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.


• Achieve individual and team sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the Private Banking division.


• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management within the financial services industry, preferably with high-net-worth clients.


• Proven track record of successful client acquisition and portfolio growth.


• Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and wealth management principles.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


• Ability to build rapport and trust with sophisticated clients.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Proficiency in relevant banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
