Job summary

CIMB Bank, within Group Finance, is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead the Finance System & Projects initiatives. You will manage project planning, formulate business requirements, and drive MIS data solutions to support financial information systems across Malaysia and regional teams.

The role requires 5–8 years in financial institutions, strong BI/data warehousing experience, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics/Financial Engineering.
• Regulatory/licensing requirements may apply.
• MIA, ACCA or CPA would be an advantage.
• Around 5–8 years' experience with financial institutions including financial and management reporting, data warehouse, data extraction and analytics.
• Solid business analysis experience and gathering/documenting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed analysis of GF process requirements with process leads and key users, and translate IT requirements into an optimum IT solution.
• Drive and oversee projects and enhancements; provide advisory on 1Finance database for MY and regional.
• Manage high-level and detailed design and structure of 1Finance database.
• Manage business issues, risk, controls and compliance.
• Act as SME for 1Finance and liaise with Group Finance and users for troubleshooting.
• Facilitate training to business process owners and end users.
• Provide business support to HOD in developing GF MIS framework.
• Promote standards and consistency across the team and Group Finance.
• Bridge between business problems and technology solutions.
• Find ways to enhance team efficiency and optimisation.
