Job summary

CIMB Bank Berhad is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Risk Data Solutions & Strategy to drive efficiency and data quality across the Risk Data Management (RDM) unit. You will lead data integration initiatives, ensure Basel/IRB compliance, and guide cross-functional teams across regions.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, project leadership, and deep knowledge of risk data platforms, with a focus on delivering timely, compliant data solutions for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/IM/CS from a reputable university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data warehouse / data mart implementation.
• Minimum 7 years working in the banking industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
• Minimum 3 years of prior leadership / team lead role.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategies to improve RDSS operations and data quality.
• Understand data needs of risk teams and propose effective solutions.
• Lead strategic data projects and ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Oversee monthly risk reporting cycles and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with GT teams on RDM data enrichment for Basel/IRB.
• Manage data integration from CIMB entities to the RDM.
