Job Description Rank: Assistant Vice President, Data Analytics. Reports to: Head, Data Analytics.

Why Join At OCBC Wholesale Banking

data is at the heart of how we make smarter decisions, deepen client relationships, and identify new growth opportunities. We are building a data-driven organization where analytics shapes strategy, commercial decisions, and client engagement. As a Data Analyst, you will work on high-impact business problems across all product lines and wholesale banking segments. You will partner closely with business leaders to uncover opportunities, generate actionable insights, and drive measurable outcomes. Beyond traditional analytics, you will have opportunities to explore advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning use cases that support the next stage of our Wholesale Banking transformation. If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, influencing decision‑making through data, and seeing your work translate into real business impact, we'd love to speak with you.

How you succeed

Success in this role requires a combination of analytical rigor, business curiosity, and strong stakeholder management skills. You will be expected to frame ambiguous business problems, translate them into analytical hypotheses, and deliver insights that influence commercial and risk decisions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, relationship managers, and product teams to identify opportunities, validate ideas through data, and drive analytical use cases from concept to implementation. The most successful candidates are intellectually curious, highly structured in their thinking, and motivated by solving real‑world business problems. They combine consulting‑style problem‑solving with strong technical capabilities and continuously seek opportunities to automate, scale, and improve how decisions are made.

What you do

Leverage internal and external data sources to uncover trends, opportunities, and emerging risks.

Conduct deep‑dive analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations for business and management teams.

Develop analytical frameworks, dashboards, and visualizations that enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Drive end‑to‑end analytics use cases from problem definition and data exploration through implementation and impact measurement.

Work with large and complex datasets to generate insights that improve client acquisition, portfolio growth, and relationship management strategies.

Collaborate with data engineers, risk teams, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability.

Explore predictive analytics and machine learning approaches to enhance business outcomes and decision‑making processes.

Support the development of analytical assets, models, and reusable frameworks that can be scaled across the Wholesale Banking franchise.

Who you are

What we offer:

  • A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle.
  • Community initiatives.
  • Industry‑leading learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.

Let’s build the bank we need for the future we want. Find the best version of yourself in a friendly, supportive team. Build lasting value in your community.
