Job summary

Key duties include wiring harness design, hardware assembly, firmware deployment, and field troubleshooting. The role requires strong soldering skills, understanding of CAN/Serial/I2C, and the ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings. Local travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Advanced through-hole and surface-mount (SMD) soldering for PCB repair and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure builds follow engineering specs.
• Understanding of industrial/automotive communication standards (CAN, Serial, I2C).
• Experience using diagnostic equipment to monitor data traffic.

Responsibilities

• System Integration & Wiring: design and build custom wire harnesses and route power/communication lines.
• Hardware Assembly: assemble robotic platforms, mount sensors and controllers.
• Firmware Deployment: deploy control software to processing units and validate hardware-software communication.
• Field Troubleshooting: use diagnostic tools to identify and fix faults in the field.
• Mechanical Calibration: calibrate motors and sensors to ensure accuracy.
• Prototyping & Fabrication: assist rapid hardware iterations and enclosure modifications.
