Job summary

VEHTEC SDN BHD is seeking a skilled Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS systems, MDVRs, cameras and vehicle accessories in various vehicles. You will dismantle, test, and perform minor repairs to ensure reliable operation, while maintaining accurate installation records.

Responsibilities include customer training, safety compliance, and collaboration with the technical team. Field-based role requiring travel to customer sites and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing GPS, MDVR, and camera systems in vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations or outstation sites.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS tracking systems, MDVR, cameras, and other accessories in vehicles.
• Dismantle and remove existing devices as required.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on installed systems.
• Ensure all installations meet company standards.
• Conduct testing to verify proper functionality of installed equipment.
• Provide basic training and guidance to customers on system usage.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and services.
• Follow safety protocols and company guidelines during installations.
• Collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues.
• QC units and verify hardware issues.
• Provide timely reports to supervisors.
• Coordinate between customer support and technical team.
