Job summary

Nexv Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an automotive technician to perform thorough vehicle inspections, diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, and carry out repairs to ensure performance and safety standards are met.

You will use diagnostic tools, conduct tests on engines, transmissions, brakes and other systems, and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and brake work while documenting all services for customers and providing accurate repair estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Qualification: SKM or Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle inspections and repairs.
• Ability to communicate repair needs clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electronic issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
• Repair or replace defective components including engine, electrical, or drivetrain parts.

This is an automotive technician role focused on conducting thorough vehicle inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues, and performing repairs to ensure vehicles meet performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, identifying mechanical and electronic issues

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems

Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements

Repair or replace defective vehicle components, such as parts of the engine, electrical system, or drivetrain

Adjust, repair, or replace brake systems, shocks, and other critical vehicle systems

Work with a variety of technical and digital equipment to test systems for any malfunctions

Conduct diagnostic scans to track issues in electronic components like sensors, batteries, and control units

Document all services and repairs for each vehicle, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date

Clearly communicate repair needs and diagnostic results to customers and provide repair estimates

Interact professionally with customers, explaining technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner

About you

Minimum 1 or 2 year working experience in relevant job scope

Minimum SKM, Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical or equivalent

Able to work in heavy and tough environment

No formal qualifications, with extensive hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance
