Job summary

Intelligent Core Sdn Bhd is a technology-driven company specialising in advanced industrial automation and Vision AI solutions. We are expanding our delivery team and seeking a capable Project Engineer to lead end-to-end automation and AI projects for manufacturers and enterprises.

You will design, implement, and commission reliable systems ranging from PLC/SCADA-based automation to AI vision inspection and smart factory solutions, collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering or project management within industrial automation or machine vision.
• Solid working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, industrial control systems, and robotics.
• Familiarity with machine vision concepts (cameras, lighting, image processing, AI-based inspection) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and standard engineering software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage automation and Vision AI projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and translate them into practical automation and computer vision solutions.
• Design and develop system architectures covering hardware, control software, and vision components.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimations for proposed projects.
• Oversee installation, integration, testing, and commissioning at client sites.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
