Job summary

INNIO GROUP SDN. BHD. in Malaysia invites an experienced electrical technician to wire, power distribution, and integrate automated machinery.

You will ensure safe power flow from main electrical enclosures to sensors, motors, and controllers, and interpret schematics and panel layouts generated in AutoCAD Electrical. Travel to customer sites for installation and site testing. Requires a technical diploma or ITE certification, 2+ years in industrial wiring, and proficiency with crimping tools,

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or ITE certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics.
• Minimum of 2+ years in industrial electrical wiring, control panel assembly, or automation equipment integration.
• Proficient in spoken, reading and writing English.
• Proficiency with crimping tools, ferrule presses, multimeters and soldering irons.
• Excellent ability to read industrial electrical schematics; basic PLC I/O configurations understanding.
• Willing to travel to customer facilities for machine installation and site testing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts (AutoCAD Electrical).
• Verify electrical inventory against BOM; ensure PLCs, relays, drives, and cables are staged.
• Mount electrical hardware (PLCs, VFDs, power supplies, circuit breakers) on sub-panels.
• Layout and install wire ducting and DIN rails inside main control enclosures.
• Wire control panels; crimp, terminate, and label wires per schematic.
• Route cables via cable tracks, conduits, and trays to protect from moving parts.
• Terminate field devices (sensors, limit switches, safety light curtains, servo motors).
• Solder and assemble custom cables/connectors as per design specs.
• Perform point-to-point continuity checks with multimeters before power-up.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in industrial networks (EtherCAT, Profinet, EtherNet/IP).

Job description

Responsible for the wiring, power distribution, and electrical integration of complex robotic and automated machinery. Ensure that power flows safely from the main electrical enclosures to every sensor, motor, and controller on the machine.

Key responsibilities

Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts (Generated in AutoCAD Electrical)

Verify electrical inventory against engineering bills of materials (BOM), ensuring correct PLCs, relays, drives, and cables are staged

Mount electrical hardware including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), power supplies, and circuit breakers onto sub-panels

Layout and install wire ducting and DIN rails inside the main control enclosures

Wire control panels cleanly, ensuring all points are properly crimped, terminated, and clearly labeled with wire markers matching the schematic

Route cables across machine frames, utilizing cable tracks, conduits, and cable trays to protect wires from moving parts

Terminate field devices such as proximity sensors, limit switches, safety light curtains, and servo motors

Solder and assemble custom cables or industrial connectors (e.g., M12, RJ45, heavy-duty multipin connectors) as required by design specifications

Perform point-to-point continuity checks using digital multimeters before power-up to ensure zero short circuits or wiring errors

Troubleshoot electrical faults, such as ground faults, voltage drops, or communication errors in industrial networks (EtherCAT, Profinet, EtherNet/IP)

About you

Technical Diploma or ITE certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics

2+ years of experience in industrial electrical wiring, control panel assembly, or automation equipment integration

Proficient in spoken, read and written English

Proficiency with crimping tools, ferrule presses, multimeters, and soldering irons

Expert ability to read industrial electrical schematics; basic understanding of PLC I/O configurations

Willingness to travel to customer facilities for machine installation, wiring reassembly, and site testing
