Job summary
Jora Malaysia is seeking an automation engineer to research, design, and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency across the Group. You will evaluate emerging technologies, conduct proofs-of-concept, and collaborate with IT and business units to prioritise initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.
The role requires 3–5 years of experience in automation-related roles and a strong foundation in programming, APIs, and cloud services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automation development, process automation, RPA, workflow automation, system integration, or related roles.
- Certifications or hands‑on experience in automation platforms, RPA tools, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow orchestration, cloud services, API integration, or industrial automation technologies highly desirable.
- Proven ability to research, evaluate, design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions addressing business opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages, databases, APIs, system integration, automation frameworks, and emerging automation technologies.
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate automation technologies, tools, platforms, and trends to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and business performance.
- Design and develop automation solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with Group technology standards.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilots to validate feasibility, value, adoption, and implementation effort.
- Collaborate with leads, business units, IT teams, and stakeholders to identify opportunities and prioritise initiatives by impact.
- Develop and maintain automation standards, reusable components, documentation, and best practices.
