Job summary

PowTech Solution (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a QA Engineer to own the testing strategy for a cloud-based digital platform.

The role is automation-first and covers automated regression testing, API and functional testing, UAT support and release QA prior to deployment. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of QA experience with hands-on automation, experience in end-to-end QA framework design, and familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman and REST Assured.

Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of QA experience with hands-on automation testing.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing end-to-end QA automation frameworks, integrating automated testing tools with CI/CD pipelines, test reporting platforms, and automated quality gates.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Postman, Newman, REST Assured or equivalent for API testing.
• Ability to design clear functional, regression, integration and negative test cases.
• Ability to perform basic SQL queries for test data validation.
• Familiar with running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and reading test reports.
• Experience testing within Agile sprint delivery.
• Understanding of authentication testing, authorization testing, access control validation, input validation and security regression testing.
• Experience with defect tracking tools and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the testing strategy and ensure automated regression testing, API testing, functional testing, UAT support and release QA are covered.
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites for critical user journeys.
• Prepare UAT test scenarios and support business users during UAT, ensuring production readiness.
• Conduct regression, smoke testing and release validation before deployments.
• Collaborate with CI/CD to ensure automated tests run in pipelines and interpret test reports.
