Job summary

Autism Gym Centre in Kota Warisan Sepang is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to deliver individualized therapeutic interventions that support children's social, communication, behavioural, and daily living skills in a clinical therapy-based setting.

The role focuses on hands-on intervention, collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary therapy team to assess, plan, and deliver ABA-based and play-based sessions, while tracking progress and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Childhood Education, Speech-Language Therapy, or a related field.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as ABA, play therapy, and sensory integration
• Comfortable delivering therapy-based intervention programmes rather than academic teaching
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Committed to long-term engagement and growth with children and families

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental and functional assessments to identify each child’s strengths and needs
• Design and implement individualized intervention plans based on therapeutic goals rather than academic outcomes
• Deliver one-to-one and small group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as ABA principles, play-based therapy, sensory integration, and communication strategies
• Support children’s development in areas including behaviour regulation, communication, motor skills, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behaviour therapists, and parents to ensure a coordinated intervention approach
• Track progress, prepare therapy reports, and adjust intervention plans as required
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team discussions to maintain best practices
