Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a Field Data Collection Analyst in Johor Bahru to conduct in-store audits and recruit/maintain panel stores. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure data quality, train and supervise auditors, and manage ad-hoc tasks across field operations.

The role requires strong communication in Bahasa Melayu and English, willingness to travel, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in data collection or retail environment.
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-store data collection and retail audits.

• Recruit and maintain panel stores, distribute incentives, and build strong retailer relationships.

• Support auditor hiring, training, supervision, and performance monitoring.

• Handle ad-hoc requests, UC processes, and administrative tasks (cash advances, liquidation, etc.).

• Ensure data quality by revisiting stores, troubleshooting issues, and supporting backend systems.

• Collaborate with teams (MDQC, Data Ops, Data Sci, CSM) to uphold reporting integrity.

• Contribute to team learning, share best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Quality Focus

• Maintain accuracy and integrity of collected data.

• Explain and validate data movements store-by-store.

• Reinforce quality KPIs and resolve issues (coding errors, unclear manuals, category definitions).

Qualifications

• Education: SPM, STPM, Certificate, Diploma, or higher qualifications are welcome to apply

• 2+ years’ experience in data collection or retail environment.

• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English required

• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

• Proficiency with smartphones, gadgets, and collaboration tools (Google, MS Office, Skype, etc.).

• Willingness to travel, conduct fieldwork in varying conditions, and engage with shopkeepers.

• Problem-solving mindset, coaching ability, and professional maturity.
