Job summary

YYC in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced audit professional to guide the audit team to timely completion of assurance and compliance engagements to the required standards.

You will review management accounts and audit planning, supervise working papers and reports for compliance, monitor progress against budget and schedule, and resolve issues promptly to avoid disruption. This role emphasizes leadership, analytical skills and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7 years of auditing experience.
• Leadership and people management skills to lead the team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize resources before the audit engagement to ensure adequate manpower and quality of work delivered.
• Review management accounts and audit planning prepared by team members before submitting to management.
• Review in detail audit working papers and audit reports and ensure audit reports are in compliance with approved accounting and auditing standards.
• Monitor job progress against budget and timeline to ensure timely completion of the assignment. Prepare weekly job status report to managers.
• Resolve problems raised by team members expediently to avoid work disruption.
