Job summary

Morison LC, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an experienced audit professional to handle complex statutory auditing and accounting assignments with minimal supervision. The role involves participating in client engagements from planning through completion, guiding junior staff, and ensuring audit work papers support conclusions.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, be partially qualified (ACCA/CPA or equivalent), and be fluent in English and Bahasa

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Part-qualified or pursuing ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA or equivalent.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, especially under tight deadlines.
• Meticulous, well-organized and capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex statutory auditing and accounting assignments independently.
• Participate in client assignments from planning to completion, including executing audit procedures with minimal supervision and documenting audit work papers to support conclusions.
• Guide and assist junior team members in preparing audit schedules and executing audit procedures.
• Respond to review points raised by the superior within the stipulated timeframe.
• Identify and compile issues, and collaborate with superiors to address and resolve them with clients.
• Follow up diligently on outstanding issues and client deliverables.
• Review active companies' financial statements prepared by clients.
• Undertake other assignments assigned by the superior from time to time.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
