Job summary

ECOVIS MALAYSIA PLT - ANSON ROAD in George Town, Penang is seeking an experienced Audit Associate or Audit Senior to join our External Audit team in a full-time role on Penang Island. You will contribute to governance and risk management, providing independent assurance and advisory services to senior management and the board.

The role involves conducting audits, planning fieldwork, analyzing data, reporting findings, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting or auditing qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA) desirable.
• 1-3 years of experience for Audit Associate; 4+ years for Audit Senior.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audit engagements across departments and functions following established methodologies.
• Plan and execute audit fieldwork, including testing of internal controls, compliance procedures, and operational efficiency.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial and operational data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Document audit findings and prepare clear, professional audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Follow up on management's implementation of audit recommendations and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to understand business processes and identify audit areas of focus.
• Maintain independence and objectivity while conducting audit activities and reporting findings.
• Stay current with audit standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to internal audit.
