Job summary

Zohorecruit in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is seeking an experienced external audit professional to lead engagements from planning through completion. The role demands supervising juniors, reviewing working papers, and delivering high-quality audit judgments in line with ISA, MFRS/MPERS, and ISQM standards.

You will build client relationships, manage deadlines and budgets, and contribute to firm development through training and internal quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fully qualified or near-completion— CA (ICAEW/ICAM), ACCA, or CPA Australia; membership with MIA is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of external audit experience with progression toward supervision or review.
• Strong technical and communication skills; proactive and accountable.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion across multiple industries.
• Execute procedures in line with ISA, MFRS/MPERS, and ISQM requirements.
• Review working papers, financial statements, and supporting documents prepared by juniors.
• Identify and assess audit risks; design appropriate responses.
• Ensure engagements meet deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Supervise, guide, and coach audit seniors and assistants during fieldwork.
• Review work of juniors and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain professional client relationships through clear, timely communication.
• Contribute to firm quality control initiatives and training programs.
