Job summary

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Mercor is hiring a Music Production Expert - Mandarin Chinese for a remote contract role with an immediate start and up to 6 months duration.

You will evaluate AI-generated music, label tracks by genre and structure, and review lyrics and vocals to support model improvements. This position requires native or near-native Mandarin, strong music production experience, and the ability to follow detailed instructions

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music for musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance .

Position: Music Production Expert - Mandarin Chinese Type: Contract Compensation: $18–$54/hour Location: Remote Duration: Up to 6 months Commitment: 20+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music for musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
