Job summary

ACCA Careers in Malaysia is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagement teams from start to finish, performing fieldwork, documenting working papers, and presenting findings to clients.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 and ISA, leadership abilities, and willingness to travel. You will supervise associates and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or professional qualification.
• ProSystem fx Engagement knowledge is a plus.
• Strong technical ability and leadership qualities; willingness to learn and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to participate in audit assignments from start to finish.
• Perform audit field work and document working papers.
• Identify issues, present findings and recommendations, and follow up to meet deadlines.
• Review audit reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 and ISA).
• Develop communication with peers, superiors and external parties.

• Working under the supervision of an Assurance Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager, and helps execute audit work and present its findings to the client.
• Contribute technical insights to audit client engagements and internal projects

Duties And Responsibilities

• We will need you to lead a team to participate in audit assignments from beginning to end including:
• performing audit field works
• document and compiling audit working papers
• identify issues and present audit findings and recommendations as well as conduct follow up actions and meeting tight deadlines.
• Review audit reports
• Execute solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles (e.g MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 and ISA)
• Supervise Assurance Associate and facilitating a connection for team needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain an excellent communication with peers, superiors and external parties

Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or those with a full or partial professional qualification (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICA, ICAA, CPA(A) or CIMA)
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Knowledge in ProSystem fx Engagement will be an added advantage
• Strong technical ability, excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
• Team players with strong sense of responsibility
• Willingness to learn and travel
