Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking a detail-oriented professional to evaluate, approve, and manage personal loan applications in line with Bank policies. You will focus on maintaining booking quality, handling reworks, and ensuring timely reporting with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and automation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years in banking; CCP/CCE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional or tertiary qualification or related working experience.
• At least 1–2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Having CCP / CCE Certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, recommend and approve personal loan applications in line with Bank's Policies & SOPs.
• Maintain booking quality measured through IL / NCL rates.
• Manage reworks & appeal applications from sales personnel.
• Ensure timely reporting & escalation of suspicious & fraudulent applications.
• Perform any other task assigned by superior from time to time.

Functional (job responsibilities)

• To evaluate, recommend and approve personal loan applications in accordance to Bank’s Policies & Standard Operating Procedures;
• To maintain good booking quality measured through Impaired Loan (IL) / Net Credit Loss (NCL) rates;
• To manage reworks & appeal applications from sales personnel;
• To ensure timely reporting & escalation of suspicious & fraudulent applications;
• To perform any other task(s) assigned by superior from time to time.

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)

• To ensure all personal loan applications are evaluated and decisioned within the specified turnaround time;
• To perform post credit review to identify area for improvement in terms of asset quality, policies & processes;
• To share knowledge/ experience/ insights and support team members at work and escalates issues to management for further direction and decision where necessary.

Organizational (organizational responsibilities)

• To continuously re-engineer processes and system automation to improve overall customer experience, productivity, automation & cost savings;
• To participate in new & ad hoc projects and/ or initiatives undertaken by department and Bank.

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualification

• Professional or tertiary qualification or related working experience.

Experience

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics,
• Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management,
• Commerce or equivalent; At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Special Skills

• Having CCP / CCE Certification is an advantage.
