Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years in industrial facilities engineering or plant facilities experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards of practice.
• Experience with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing facilities-related projects, including building upgrades, infrastructure improvements, office renovations, utility installations, manufacturing facility expansions, cleanroom projects, HVAC systems, energy efficiency initiatives, and maintenance capital projects.
• Develop and implementing facilities operational procedures and performance measures to ensure simplification and accuracy of work methods and reliability of facilities systems.
• Lead end-to-end facilities projects from concept development through commissioning and handover.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate construction, renovation, expansion, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Manage project documentation, drawings, specifications, and change requests.
• Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare management reports on project status, expenditures, and variances.
• Oversee installation and upgrade of:
• HVAC systems, Electrical systems, Chilled water systems, Compressed air systems, Fire protection systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), Process utilities and cleanroom infrastructure
• Ensure facility systems meet operational and reliability requirements.
• Develop and implement a property risk management system which identifies major property risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental

Regular

• Ensure the team is well trained on all facilities policies and procedures. Working closely with the local operation team, devise new and innovative methods of learning built around skill development, leadership and succession planning.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable regulations, company standards, and customer requirements
• Develops planning documents for initiation of projects to gain approval at University and Regents level
• Prepares requests for proposal and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate hiring architectural and construction management services.
• Monitors and reports on all phases of planning and construction
• Coordinates all parties (consultants, architects, contractors) involved in the planning, design, and construction process.
• Monitors construction contract close-out and maintains documentation files.
• Assists in development of new standards of practice for Project Management

• Develop initiatives and strategies that lead to cost savings that contribute to global initiatives and take a leading role as required.
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services or equivalent experience and education.
