We are currently seeking a Accounting Sr. Analyst (Accounts Payable) to join our team in Remote, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).

Summary

The Associate Specialist, Accounts Payable supports the execution of day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and record maintenance. This role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures and internal controls while developing foundational knowledge of accounts payable processes. The Associate Specialist works under guidance from AP leadership and collaborates with internal stakeholders to support efficient and compliant AP operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Processing Support

• Assist with processing supplier invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
• Support preparation of payment runs in accordance with established schedules and controls.
• Maintain accurate AP records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Perform basic data entry and validation in AP systems.

Vendor & Internal Support

• Respond to routine vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payments under guidance.
• Coordinate with internal teams to follow up on invoice approvals and documentation.
• Support maintenance of vendor master data in line with control requirements.

Month-End Close & Reporting Support

• Assist with AP close activities, including invoice cut-off support and data gathering.
• Support preparation of routine AP schedules and reports.
• Assist in reconciling AP balances and identifying discrepancies for escalation.

Controls, Compliance & Audit Support

• Follow internal controls, approval workflows, and documented AP procedures.
• Support audit activities by preparing routine documentation and responding to information requests.
• Escalate processing errors, discrepancies, or control issues as identified.

Process & Team Support

• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in training, process updates, and system enhancements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AP function.
• Perform other AP-related tasks as assigned.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Experience

• Entry- level experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or a related role.
• Internship or entry-level experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
• Basic proficiency in Excel.
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently move about inside and outside of data center / facility
• Remain stationary for long periods of time.
• Ascend / Descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform.
• Position self in small spaces.
• Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
• Perform work during Malaysia business hours and time zones, however may occassionally require to connect with European Team later in the day .

Work Conditions & Other Requirements

• Work onsite at a data center location.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Travel required ##% of time.
• Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection (hybrid model, 1 day per week in Cyberjaya office).
