Job summary

Accenture Malaysia is hiring an Associate Security Engineer (Networking) to diagnose, troubleshoot and secure Microsoft environments. You will manage Entra/M365, AD, GPOs, MFA and DLP across on‑prem and cloud workloads, while providing proactive monitoring and incident response.

You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams, apply Defender XDR, Purview, and email security tooling, and contribute to improved security operations and governance within a fast‑paced professional services

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT engineering, systems operations or technical support.
• Hands-on experience with Defender XDR, Purview/DLP, email security platforms, Windows Server and Entra/M365.
• Experience in IT Services Provider environments or with mid-to-large enterprises.
• Proven work as a Microsoft Wintel / Systems Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests related to Microsoft systems, compute infrastructure, and associated technologies.
• Maintain system health and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and patching.
• Administer Entra/M365 including troubleshooting Entra Connect issues and policy configuration.
• Perform AD/ADUC operations: user and group management.
• Oversee Group Policy Management and MFA setup.
• Manage Windows Server services (DNS, DHCP, File/Print, Exchange, M365).
• Assist with DLP policies and phishing detection/remediation efforts.
• Contribute to operational processes with adherence to controls and documentation.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests related to Microsoft systems, compute infrastructure, and associated technologies.
• Maintain system health and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and patching activities.
• Execute foundational administration tasks within Microsoft Entra/M365, including:
  • Troubleshooting Entra Connect issues.
  • Configuring and deploying basic Conditional Access Policies.
• Perform Active Directory (AD) and Active Directory Users & Computers (ADUC) operations, such as:
  • User management (creation, modification, deletion).
  • Group management, including creation and modification of group objects.
• Oversee Group Policy Management.
• Set up and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for secure access.
• Manage and support key Windows Server services (e.g., Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File/Print servers, Exchange, Microsoft 365).
• Assist with the implementation, configuration, and monitoring of Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive information across devices, email, and cloud services.
• Provide support for phishing detection and remediation efforts, including email security analysis, user education, and reporting of suspicious activities.
• Contribute to and enhance operational processes while ensuring adherence to established controls, policies, and procedures.
• Engage and communicate effectively with customers, providing timely updates and resolution of issues.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline (desirable).
• At least 3 years' experience in IT engineering, systems operations, or a similar technical support role.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Defender XDR for endpoint threat detection and response.
  • Purview solutions, including DLP policy configuration, incident handling, and sensitive data management.
  • Email security platforms (e.g., Exchange Online Protection, Mimecast, Proofpoint) and anti‑phishing tools.
  • Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
  • Entra/M365 administration, MFA implementation, and Group Policy Management.
• Experience working in an IT Services Provider environment or alongside mid-to-large enterprises.
• Demonstrated work experience as a Microsoft Wintel / Systems Engineer.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proven ability to resolve technical challenges.

Desirable Skills & Certifications

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
• ITIL Foundation V4 or other relevant IT service management certifications.
• Expertise in supporting email security platforms, anti‑phishing strategies, and identifying emerging threats.
• Demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning, professional development, and acquiring new certifications relevant to security technologies.
