Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Logistics and Transport Improvement lead to identify and deliver efficiency gains across warehousing and transportation, collaborating with regional teams and SCJ partners. Location flexibility MY or PH is available for the shortlisted candidate.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, cost-to-serve benchmarking, network optimization, tender support, and KPI governance to drive performance while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics management, or Data science.
• 5+ years in Lean/Continuous Improvement in Logistics or Supply Chain Operations (FMCG preferred).
• 3+ years in people management or team leadership.
• Strong Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps skills.
• Experience with WMS (SAP HANA preferred).
• Experience using AI tools for analytics, optimization, forecasting, or modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost saving and service-improvement projects in warehousing and transportation.
• Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste in warehousing processes.
• Benchmark 3rd party costs and services using Cost to Serve methodology.
• Conduct regional network optimization studies with internal or external partners.
• Support RFP processes for major LSP tenders and provide analytical input.
• Evaluate new tools and software aligned with digitization goals.
• Serve as Process Owner for Logistics SOPs and auditing program across clusters.
• Assist Regional Operations Manager with KPI management and performance review.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, DG, transport, and import/export regulations.
• Partner with Customer Supply Chain to deliver business priorities in Logistics Operations.
• Lead warehouse or transportation transition projects using SCJ framework.

Summary:

Responsible for identifying and delivering improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of Logistics and Transport Management, working closely with the cluster Logistics Operations Leads and the Regional Transportation team, and other stakeholders in Supply Chain organization. This role is flexible to be located in MY or PH subject to the shortlisted candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead major cost saving / service improvement projects relating to warehousing and transportation.

• To use Lean principles and tools to systematically eliminate waste in the warehousing processes.

• To support the analysis and benchmarking of 3rd party related costs and service across the Logistics & Transportation team including use of Cost to Serve methodology.

• Conduct network optimization studies in the region, working with either internal or external SCJ partners.

• To provide analytical input for the tendering or re-tendering of 3rd party services as required and project manage the RFP process for major LSP tenders.

• Evaluate new tools / software in accordance with digitization agenda of the company.

• To be the Process Owner for the Logistics SOPs used within the process framework, and to act as an auditor in an audit program across all clusters to ensure process compliance and to share best practice between countries and identify improvement opportunities.

• To support the Regional Operations Manager in the KPI management and review across the team and challenge performance against KPI’s and provide Close The Loop for any off track KPI.

• To all logistics hub operations are operated in full compliance to all relevant SCJ and country legal standards regarding health and safety, environmental, dangerous goods management, transport, GEN24 and import / export regulations.

• To be partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure the business priorities are delivered in Logistics Operations.

• Lead any Warehouse or Transportation transition projects using SCJ transition framework.

• Develop the team capability in Logistics especially in the analytical thinking and project management.

• People Management & Development:

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics management, Data science field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement within Logistics or Supply Chain Operations. Experienced in FMCG industry is preferred

• At least 3 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Apps, and Power BI.

• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP HANA.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools and technologies for supply chain analytics, process optimization, simulation, forecasting, or operational modelling.

• Professional certifications related to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Project Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, APICS/CPIM, PMP, Microsoft Power Platform certifications) will be an added advantage.
