Job summary

UST is seeking a lab technician with strong PCBA hand soldering and rework skills to support system delivery and testing. The role requires setup of PCBA/server systems to boot into OS, plus debugging and lab operations responsibilities.

Candidates should be familiar with UNIX/Linux Ubuntu, basic PC/server architecture, and maintain EHS safety standards in the lab. Experience with inventory and logistics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCBA hand soldering and rework.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Ubuntu OS installation.
• Familiarity with lab inventory and EHS safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Very experienced in PCBA hand soldering to support system/PCBA rework.
• Setup of computer/server systems at PCBA level to boot to OS.
• System/PCBA error debugging skills.
• Collecting, receiving, labeling, incoming visual inspection and testing on systems received.
• Perform systems allocation delivery to internal labs as per delivery plan.
• Provide logistic support such as inbound/outbound shipment, packing of shipment boxes and security clearance.
• Maintain lab items inventory system, lab housekeeping and lab EHS safety/security processes.
• Other lab works support as needed.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Ubuntu operating system and installation.
• Knowledge of basic PC/server architecture components (CPU, input units, etc.).
