Job summary

Plexus Corp in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an engineering assembler to support product development and testing. You will assist in wiring, soldering, crimping, and assembling high-quality test systems per engineering specifications, while maintaining 6S and ESD standards in the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab.

The role requires an Associate's Degree with 1+ years of related experience or an equivalent education/experience. Strong teamwork and basic communication skills are essential.

• Produce an acceptable quantity of work with limited supervision.
• Perform initial assembly and reworking of rapid prototypes to support development teams.

Job description

Purpose Statement

To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Please refer to discipline core skills for specifics.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Maintains work area and assists in maintaining the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab to 6S and ESD standards.
• Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers.
• Basic understanding and ability to perform wiring, soldering, crimping and assembly functions to build high quality test systems or products per engineering specifications.
• Produce an acceptable quantity of work in a timely manner with limited supervision.
• Perform initial assembly and reworking of rapid prototypes to support the development teams.
• Ability to develop and deliver feedback during pre and post engineering builds.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
