Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Penang, Malaysia seeks an engineering support specialist to assist semiconductor process operations, ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet daily targets.

You will support automated assembly tools, collaborate with engineering teams, and help drive throughput, cycle time and prototype success while adhering to EH&S requirements and safety protocols.

Job description

Provide engineering support for semiconductor process operations Typically performs one or more of the following as directed and/or independently:

• Provides oversite and guidance of operational activities in ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet the daily targets and operational goals - Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout - Shipment Plan
• Supports automated assembly tools to support manufacturing processes
• Supports engineering and industrial engineering for accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
• Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
