Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Remote Technician / Associate Engineer for Manufacturing Operations 300MM in Malaysia. You will assist on shop floor management, automation, and materials logistics while supporting post-fab operations.

You will work with engineers to meet daily targets, manage WIP, and optimize dispatch rules. The role requires a diploma in a relevant field and 1 year of wafer fab experience, with 12-hour rotating shifts and a collaborative team mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electrical/electronic/mechatronic or related field.
• Minimum 1 year wafer fab or related manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting daily targets and overall operation goals.
• Manage Fab centralized test wafer handling and recycling processes.
• Operate test wafer cleaning tools and perform routine PM and setup.
• Balance WIP, manage queues, and monitor equipment PM and capacity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on real-time dispatch rules and improvements.
• Monitor EIM, auto delivery, and RTD status with CIM and MFG systems.
• Support updating MFG SOPs and coordinate post-Fabout activities.

Remote Technician / Associate Engineer Manufacturing Operations 300MM

Job Purpose

Assist in the day-to-day production shop floor management, resource management, automation and equipment performance, WIP management, PM management, activity coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making remotely as part of a business process outsourcing team. Handle overall manufacturing support functions including changeroom and materials logistics and post-fab operations.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assist in meeting daily targets and overall operation goals such as cycle time, throughput, prototype success, and shipment plans.
• Handle overall Fab centralized test wafer management including preparation, recycling, re-route/downgrade via online SiView MEs in both offline and EIM + auto delivery execution mode.
• Operate all test wafer recycling and FOUP (Carrier) cleaning tools, perform routine 1st level PM and setup.Overall reticle management (exception for specific individual selected).
• WIP and tool management including WIP balancing, held and queue lots management, equipment PM, capacity, and constraint management.
• Work closely with manufacturing engineers and production control in defining shop floor real-time dispatch rules and continuous improvements.
• Assist manufacturing engineers in monitoring and managing EIM, auto delivery, and RTD status and performance, working closely with CIM, AMHS, and MFG systems.
• Assist manufacturing engineers in continuously updating MFG standard operation procedures.Assist manufacturing engineers in handling coordination work/activities after Fabout step including Etest, internal sort, and OQAAssist manufacturing engineers in report preparation.

Position Specification

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Microelectronics/Chemical Process Technology
• Minimum 1 year of wafer fab experience or other related manufacturing environment.
