Job summary

RBC in Putrajaya, Malaysia, seeks a senior Accounts Payable COE leader to manage the AP Centre of Excellence and coordinate with stakeholders across the region. You will drive KPI development, document controls, and oversee AP deliverables in Malaysia.

The role focuses on process improvement, automation, and ensuring service levels are met or exceeded while supporting regional strategy and talent development within the CFO office.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting background with AP knowledge and controls.
• Experience leading AP operations or COE in a regional role.
• Ability to design KPIs/KCIs and report on service levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the AP COE to support all regional businesses in Malaysia.
• Lead design and execution of the AP COE objectives with stakeholders.
• Implement KPIs/KCIs and provide regular KPI reporting.
• Ensure service levels are met or exceeded and operational metrics trend positively.
• Provide oversight of AP deliverables within Malaysia.

• Support Deputy CFO with strategy, priorities and succession planning.

Job Description

• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) Centre of Excellence (COE) to support all businesses in the region, providing a quality and cost effective service for AP deliverables outsourced to Malaysia.
• Lead the design and execution of the AP COE, collaborating effectively with stakeholders in achieving the COE’s objectives.
• Implement AP COE Key Performance/Control Indicators, regularly synchronizing with internal stakeholders and reporting on KPIs/KCIs to determine COE effectiveness and service levels.
• Serve as a point of accountability for the AP COE ensuring service levels are met and/or exceeded and all operational metrics are trending in a positive direction.
• Provide oversight of the Accounts Payable deliverables undertaken within Malaysia.
• Ensure processes and standards of documentation are aligned with best practices, and enforce operational discipline through current and well maintained documentation
• Act as a change agent and drive operational efficiencies through process automation and standardization; enhance output and reduce non-value added activities
• Support the regional Deputy CFO by providing input on strategy, priorities and team management, including succession planning for key roles.
• Manage the AP COE by creating an environment that fosters professional development through goal setting, performance management, consistent and regular coaching, training and mentoring.
• Identify high performing individuals and provide future career paths and development opportunities for these individuals.
