Job summary

Jora Malaysia is looking for fresh graduates or those with less than a year in audit. A professional accounting qualification or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, with Mandarin fluency advantageous for Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities include executing audit assignments, preparing working papers, tax computations, and liaising with clients and authorities to deliver final audited statements.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fresh graduates or those with less than a year’s audit experience.
• Mandarin language能力 preferred for Mandarin-speaking clients.

• Carry out audit jobs assigned within the timeframe.
• Prepare and finalize audit working papers and audit reports.
• Prepare audit planning for supervisor review.
• Assist senior in preparing audit schedules and procedures.
• Prepare draft tax computation and ensure tax liabilities are provided.
• Respond to review points within the given timeframe.
• Confirm final audit reports with clients before release.
• Follow up on outstanding issues with clients and authorities.
• Liaise with company secretary, tax agents and authorities as needed.
• Prepare group financial statements and escalate risks beyond own scope.

• Prepare and finalize audit working papers and audit reports.
• Prepare audit planning for supervisor to review before commencement of audit work.
• Assist senior in preparing audit schedules and audit procedures.
• Prepare draft tax computation and ensure adequate provision of tax liabilities.
• Reply to Manager’s review points within timeframe given.
• Confirm the final audit reports with clients before release.
• Follow up any outstanding issues and letters from clients.
• Liaise with company secretary, tax agents and other authorities to obtain statutory information required during the course of the audit.
• Prepare group financial statements.
• Escalate risks and issues beyond own experience or skill set.
• Exercise and document the approach to professional scepticism including robust challenge, consideration of alternatives evidence.
• Follow-up action to collect payment from clients before releasing the final audited financial statements and submitting AFS to SSM via MBRS.
