Great Eastern Malaysia is seeking an actuarial pricing professional to support group pricing decisions and ensure pricing complies with policy and regulatory expectations. You will prepare quotations for new business and renewals, develop pricing materials, and participate in UAT and model enhancements.
The role involves actuarial calculations, data validation, and collaboration with stakeholders across CTB and product teams to sustain pricing accuracy and regulatory compliance.

To provide technical support in group pricing related tasks and to ensure the key profit criteria are met aligning with company’s business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure group quotations are priced in accordance with GETB's Product Pricing Policy, and within the service level agreement.
Prepare and review Group Quotations for New Business and Renewal.
Compile Pricing Development Committee (PDC) presentation materials, sample cash flow breakdown, Product Documentation to BNM and other pricing related documents.
Maintain the compilation of group schemes info and provision of unbilled business in monthly basis.
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in various testing required for system enhancement.
Review marketing materials such as Certificate Documents, Benefit Illustrations, Product Disclosure Sheet, training slide, etc.
Perform actuarial calculations and data validations to ensure pricing accuracy.
Actuarial Model Development & Experience Analysis
Prepare or update pricing model for new products / enhancements.
Prepare annual experience study report and relevant analysis.
Prepare report and presentation for pricing analysis.
Assist in competitor analysis and market research.
Stakeholder Engagement
Provide technical justification, cost analysis, loss ratio summary and any other related analysis to assist Corporate Takaful Business (CTB) securing the business.
Liaise with Retakaful Operator (RTO) on getting supports for new products/enhancements.
Involve in discussion with Product Working Group and other Business units for new product initiatives/enhancement.
Regulatory & Governance Compliance
Assist in preparing Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Product Documentation and other regulatory submission.
Ensure that product pricing is in accordance with regulatory requirements as per Pricing Compliance Checklist.
Collaboration and Learning
Collaborating effectively with the team (internal and external) to deliver high quality work.
Work closely with senior staffs, gaining exposure to pricing related tasks.
Develop technical and analytical skills through hands‑on experience and training.
Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and safeguard the company better.
Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Good progress in actuarial professional exams.
Fresh graduates or up to 3 years of actuarial experience, with pricing exposure in insurance/takaful company.
Knowledge of insurance / takaful products and financial markets, and good understanding of Takaful Principles.
Relevant knowledge for computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Words, Macros and Visual Basis.
High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
