Job summary

Thong Guan Industries Berhad invites applications for a software development role focused on building and enhancing web and mobile applications, database solutions, and ERP-related systems to digitize manufacturing operations in northern Malaysia.

The candidate will assist in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software, while supporting ERP customization, REST API integrations, and cloud-hosted deployments (AWS EC2/IIS). Strong problem-solving and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of C# / VB.NET / .NET.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with REST API and system integration.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to learn new technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web-based applications, PWAs, and mobile applications.
• Support the development of custom software solutions to digitize manufacturing and operational workflows.
• Develop and maintain application features based on business and user requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues and system errors.
• Perform software testing, debugging, and system enhancements.
• Support ERP development and maintenance, including Epicor/Kinetic-related applications and customizations.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related solutions.
• Assist in integrating ERP systems with third-party systems, logistics platforms, machinery, production dashboards, and payment/banking APIs.
• Develop and maintain REST API integrations.
• Assist in supporting applications hosted on AWS EC2 and IIS environments.

Job description

To support the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications and digital systems within the organization. The role will assist in developing web and mobile applications, database solutions, system integrations, workflow automation, and ERP-related systems to improve business and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

Assist in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web-based applications, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), and mobile applications

Support the development of custom software solutions to digitize manufacturing and operational workflows

Develop and maintain application features based on business and user requirements

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues and system errors

Perform software testing, debugging, and system enhancements

Support ERP development and maintenance, including Epicor/Kinetic-related applications and customizations

Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related solutions

Assist in integrating ERP systems with third‑party systems, logistics platforms, machinery, production dashboards, and payment/banking APIs

Develop and maintain REST API integrations

About you
