Job summary

CIMB is seeking a PR & Media Relations professional to support the Vice President in delivering an integrated local and regional communications strategy for the CIMB Group CEO and CIMB Group.

You will draft and manage communication plans, prepare press kits, coordinate with media, and assist with crisis communications and media monitoring across the Group, including Special Projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Vice President in implementing an integrated local and regional communications strategy for Group CEO and the CIMB Group.
• Develop, implement and manage effective communication plans (e.g., key messages and proof points) and media-related activities to support CIMB Group's Businesses/Business Enablers (as stipulated by Director), in cooperation with them and their official partners.
• Draft, edit and prepare communication packs and/or press kits for CIMB Group (including press releases, key messages, FAQs, presentation decks etc).
• Manage communications with stakeholders for CIMB Group.
• Help manage issues and crisis communications for the Group.
• Ensure all media monitoring services vendor are fulfilled as specified in Service Level Agreement.
• Maintain good working relationship/ continually engage with the media
• Any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Management from time to time.
• Support Vice President of GCC craft and implement the PR strategy for Special Projects, including pitching for interview and looking out for non-traditional opportunities to publicise CIMB's products and services through its sponsored events.
• Work with Businesses/Business Enablers to develop key messages to support an effective PR and/or media engagement plan.
• Lead on 2 - 3 Special Projects per year as stipulated by Vice President.
• Managing media analysis reports as prepared by media monitoring agency
• Update selected department procedures (e.g. Group Crisis Communications Procedure) as required
• Train new staff, TCBians and interns on daily media monitoring and preparation of daily media report.
• Guide new staff on various aspects of media relations and media engagement.
