Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control Lead in Malaysia to supervise the QC team and oversee all receiving inspections for precast concrete elements. You will lead daily testing activities, review QA reports, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and SS EN 206 standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 4-5 years in precast/concrete, particularly IBS and Tunnel Lining Segments, and involves planing trials and R&D for new mix designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in precast elements and concrete.
• Strong background in precast IBS and Tunnel Lining Segments projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and SS EN 206 standards.

• Lead subordinates in daily testing activities (beam, cylinder, and flexural beam testing).
• Supervise and guide the QC team in daily tasks.
• Check and review all quality assurance reports.
• Oversee routine sleeper product testing according to schedule.
• Attend to yearly audits related to the QMS.
• Investigate and analyze root causes of non-conformities, especially concrete-related issues.
• Plan and lead trial mixes for new projects.
• Conduct R&D for new concrete mix designs.
• Monitor and control inspection equipment.

Ensure all quality system certifications (CIDB, SPAN, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, jacking pipe certificate) are valid and renewed on time

Check and review all quality assurance reports

Oversee routine sleeper product testing according to schedule

Attend to yearly audits related to the quality management system (QMS)

Investigate and analyze root causes of non-conformities, especially concrete-related issues

Plan and lead trial mixes for new projects

Conduct R&D for new concrete mix designs

Monitor and control inspection equipment

Perform other tasks assigned by superiors and management

Qualifications

Contract basis: 2 years

Working hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)
