Job description

The Assistant Principal is a on-site role based at TLS International School in Kota Damansara. This role supports the Principal in overseeing daily school operations, including academic planning, classroom supervision, and staff coordination. The Assistant Principal helps ensure effective implementation of the UK IGCSE Curriculum, supports teacher development, and promotes a positive, inclusive school culture.

Key responsibilities

Monitor student progress and address behavioral and pastoral matters

Engage with families and contribute to school policies and improvement initiatives

Organize school events and support admissions and orientation activities

Collaborate with leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Support the Principal in overseeing daily school operations

Ensure effective implementation of the UK IGCSE Curriculum

Requirements

Experience in school leadership or middle management (e.g., Head of Department, Academic Coordinator) with responsibility for teaching and learning

Strong instructional leadership skills, including curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and familiarity with the UK IGCSE framework

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff

Organizational and administrative skills, including timetabling, documentation, reporting, and process management

Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive, student-centered environment that supports diverse learning needs

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; postgraduate qualifications in Education or Educational Leadership are an advantage

Proven classroom teaching experience, preferably within international or IGCSE schools

Commitment to professional ethics, safeguarding and child protection, and continuous professional development

Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive
