Job summary

Bandar Dato’ Onn Specialist Hospital is seeking a Central Store Officer to manage stock replenishment and ensure storage standards are met. The role requires vigilance for expired items, accurate PO procedures, and proper data entry into the Hits System.

The successful candidate will maintain efficiency in the Central Store, monitor inventory, and support finance during stock takes while complying with safety regulations and OSH standards.

Qualifications

• Meet minimum SPM or related field with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Possess positive attitude
• IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated and result oriented
• Good written and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English Language are essential

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of Central Store.
• Ensure proper storage/arrangement of items in Central Store.
• Ensure security and safety of items in Central Store.
• Responsible for replenishment of stock medical/surgical, sundries and stationeries.
• To raise purchase requisition to Purchasing Unit to ensure stock availability at all times.
• To assist on check and monitor slow moving items, near expired items and expired items.
• To check and receive all incoming goods according to purchase orders and procedures.
• Enter information of items received and supplies into Hits System.
• Close the Purchase Order by posting the Good Receive Note (GRN).
• Assist Finance Services during stock take.
• Assist with Adjustment In/Out in Hits System.
• Assist technicians during machine service with related contractors.
• Carry out recycle activities and minimize waste.
• Assist to ensure KPI objectives and standards are achievable.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible in covering general operation of the Central Store inclusive of stock replenishment and ensure the activities are compliance to the set standards.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure efficient operation of Central Store.
2. Ensure proper storage/arrangement of items in Central Store.
3. Ensure security and safety of items in Central Store.
4. Responsible for replenishment of stock medical/surgical, sundries and stationeries. To raise purchase requisition to Purchasing Unit to ensure the stock availability at all the time.
5. To assist on check and monitor slow moving items, near expired items and expired items.
6. To check and receive all incoming goods are according to purchase order and procedures.
7. To enter the information of items receive and supplies into Hits System.
8. To close the Purchase Order (PO) by post the Good Receive Note (GRN).
9. To comply with Purchasing Quality Objective for items ordered, delivered and received.
10. Assigned items code and tag accordingly.
11. Assist Finance Services during Stock take Exercise.
12. Assist on the Adjustment In (AI) and Adjustment Out (AO) when needed into Hits System.
13. Assist on the technician during their machine service such as Coway, Sharp Photocopier and any related contractor supplier when needed.
14. Responsible to carry out recycle activities and to minimize waste.
15. Assist to ensure KPI performance objectives and standards achievable.
16. To perform any other duties as and when required by the superior.

OSH Act and Regulation 1994

1. Responsible and accountable to carry out duties as employee stipulated in OSH Act and Regulation 1994.
2. Make frequent inspection to ensure healthy and safety working environment.
3. To take reasonable care and work for the safety of yourself and others person.
4. To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
5. To wear or use and protective equipment or clothing provided by employer.
6. To comply with any instruction or measure on OSH Act & Regulation 1994.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
