Job summary

CACEIS Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager for Static Data - Master Data Services M/F to support 10 countries with 24/5 operations. You will oversee creation and amendments of static data across MDC and GP, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

Reporting to the Static Data Manager, you will work 8 hours daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm Malaysia time, with rotating shift coverage as required to support global servicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent degree with relevant background.
• Bank/financial services operations experience a plus.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion and maintenance of Financial Instruments in internal system.
• Control and validate market data from data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
• Analyze and execute corporate actions (dividends, spin-offs, splits).
• Manage internal and external inquiries with high quality and timeliness.
• Be accountable for Global Servicing from the operating location, including shifts/holidays.
• Promote quality of deliverables by coaching team members.
• Ensure cross-training and rotation to boost efficiency and reduce risk.
• Periodically review processes to refresh requirements and ensure compliance.

What is the opportunity?

CACEIS Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Reporting to the Manager, Static Data team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate update and maintenance of all static data in MDC and GP. Setups would include creation and/or amendment of static data in all the processing systems.

You will be supporting Global business with 8 working hours a day.

Shift hours would be between 8:00am-5:00pm Malaysia time.

What will you do?

• Ensure completion and maintenance of Financial Instruments in internal system
• Control and validate market data coming from data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)
• Analyze and execute the corporate action event (dividend, spin off, shares split, etc.)
• Ensure internal and external enquiries are managed on time and with high quality standard
• Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank / legal holidays and weekend when required)
• Promote quality of deliverables by motivating, coaching and developing team members
• Ensure cross training and rotation of duties occurs on a regular basis to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Periodic review of process to refresh understanding of requirements and review for compliance
