We are looking for a professional to support the Head and Manager in managing Treaty Reinsurance operations, including treaty renewals, documentation, reinsurer security monitoring, regulatory submissions, and technical support. The role also involves maintaining relationships with Reinsurers and Brokers and supporting the Company’s treaty programme and reinsurance initiatives.
Assist the Head and Manager in managing the daily activities of the Treaty Division, including supervision and training of subordinates, Treaty documentation, and provision of technical guidance and advice.
Collate Non-Proportional and Proportional Treaty statistics for treaty renewal, including company and market data relating to claims trends and loss ratios, and monitor and update the security status of Reinsurers participating in the Company’s Treaty Programme.
Maintain professional relationships with Reinsurers and Brokers, manage requests for special acceptance, and provide technical training on reinsurance/MSIG Treaties.
Ensure cessions to Treaty are in accordance with the agreed treaty programme, including timely submission of statements of accounts to Reinsurers, Brokers, and MNRB for Voluntary/Auto Fac cessions, as well as timely submission of REINS to Bank Negara Malaysia in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Support acceptance testing of automated Treaty Cession in the P400 System, provide technical assistance to subordinates and other departments, and assist with the Company’s projects and new initiatives as required.
Tertiary qualification, preferably in Insurance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
