MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd is recruiting an RI Facultative (Executive) to oversee Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance operations. You will support the leadership team in managing reinsurance programs, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurers and brokers.

This role analyzes risks, renews treaties, and facilitates facultative placements to strengthen our insurance portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree holder (preferably in insurance or accounting).
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance operations.
• Support leadership in managing reinsurance programs and ensuring compliance.
• Renew treaties and facilitate facultative placements.
• Coordinate and support marketing efforts for facultative reinsurance inwards business.
• Manage CAB facultative reinsurance outwards transactions.
• Maintain documentation and monitor claims trends and loss ratios.
• Ensure timely submissions of statements of accounts to reinsurers or brokers.

Job description

We are looking for an RI Facultative (Executive) to oversee Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance operations. In this role, you will support the leadership team in managing reinsurance programs, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurers and brokers. This position plays a key role in analyzing risks, renewing treaties, and facilitating facultative placements to strengthen our insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Treaty Reinsurance
  • Collate Non-Proportional & Proportional Treaty Statistics for treaty renewals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for treaty processes.
  • Collect and compile company and market statistics related to claims trends and loss ratios.
  • Monitor and update the security status of reinsurers participating in our treaty program.
  • Ensure timely submission of statements of accounts to reinsurers and brokers.
  • Request special acceptance from treaty reinsurers or brokers when needed.
  • Handle daily facultative reinsurance activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal, external, and regulatory requirements (e.g., LSR).
  • Coordinate and support marketing efforts for facultative reinsurance inwards business.
  • Manage and control CAB facultative reinsurance outwards transactions.
• Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and peers.
  • Conduct acceptance testing for automated reinsurance cessions in the P400 System.
  • Assist in company projects or initiatives as required.
